About your teacher :

Joannie Labelle was first introduced to Bata drumming by Alain Labrosse in Montreal, Canada. Thanks to him, she then studied in Havana, Cuba, with masters Raul Lali Brito Gonzalez (Clave y Guaguanco), Alberto Villareal (Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba) and Roland Salgado Palacio (Afro Cuban All Stars). Then, she took part of a Montreal Yoruba Choir, Ilu Ladé, led by André Dupuis, a local master sacred batalero in Cuba. All respect to these masters and educators.
