Joannie Labelle is a live electro-jazz-pop artist blending expressive vocals, organic percussion and electronic production into immersive rhythmic performances. Her music combines textured electronic soundscapes, jazz-influenced improvisation and strong melodic hooks inspired by contemporary pop.

On stage, she builds dynamic sonic layers using voice and percussion as central instruments, creating a performance that feels both intimate and powerful, balancing groove, atmosphere and emotional clarity.

LONG BIO

​​

Joannie Labelle is a vocalist, percussionist and producer whose music bridges electro, jazz and alternative pop. Combining expressive vocals with rhythmic precision, she creates a distinctive sound shaped by groove, atmosphere and emotional depth. Whether singing, drumming or blending both on stage, her performances balance technical mastery with raw sensitivity.

A songwriter since 2008, Joannie debuted with Debut (2016), a fully self-written project introducing her as an independent and singular artistic voice. Her second album, Lotus (2022), co-produced with Nicolas Börger (Nneka, Kontra K), expanded her sonic palette, merging electronic textures, intricate rhythms and intimate vocals.

Recognized by multiple institutions such as Initiative Musik, she continues to evolve internationally, recently participating in a songwriting camp at Electric Brighton Studios. Originally known as an exceptional percussionist, she has performed worldwide with artists such as Lara Fabian and Silbermond.

 

Based in Hamburg, she remains active in the pop and television scene while developing her next release.
